Tonny Vanmunster, Landen, Belgium and Eric Broens, Mol, Belgium have been able to confirm the observation. Details are as follows : 1994 Dec 30.7 UT, 12.9 (G. Poyner, 0.40-m refl., seq.: TA); Dec 30.785 UT, 13.7 (T. Vanmunster, 0.35-m refl., seq.: AAVSO); Dec 30.819 UT, 13.6 (T. Vanmunster, 0.35-m refl., seq.: AAVSO); Dec 30.951 UT, 13.2 (E. Broens, 0.35-m refl., seq.: TA); All observations were made under very unfavorable conditions (stormy weather). Tonny Vanmunster remarks that there is a contradiction between the star's position on the AAVSO chart (Dec 1990) and the image that appears in [1]. Apparently, the position as indicated on the AAVSO chart seems to be correct. Astrometric observations are urgently required to determine the precise position. The star was last seen in outburst on October 27, 1991 (Moriyama and Schmeer). According to our records, it reached mag. 12.5 at that occasion [2]. Kato [3] afterwards reported on the development of superhumps in V1251 Cyg. Apart from this, very little is known about the variable.
