Kemp observed the object during a 2h time series photometry session (Jan 3/4) and saw it brightening by about 0.25 mag (to approx. mag. 13.55). A rough estimate of the magnitude on Jan 4.47 UT (judged by Kato from a TV monitor) is V ~ 13.72. Please continue to follow this most spectacular object !
